Piedmont University’s own Symposium showcases student presentations and research. These projects showcased the potential of young college students and the work they can do. The symposium reveals the passions these students have going into their future careers. While students examined their piers’ presentations, faculty members were fascinated that their students could research such topics as they did. Professors and staff members were mesmerized by the projects students put together. Sophomore Mary Beall, a neuroscience and psychology major, presented her research on autoimmune diseases and the comparisons between men and women on its effects.
