Nathan Mix is Senior Shortstop baseball player who plays for the Piedmont Lions. Mix is one of the top talented players on the team. Whenever Piedmont plays you will see him in the infield grabbing ground balls and help grab the win for the Lions. When Mix is on the field it is always a exciting game because he does what he does best. This photo story takes a look at what Mix does moments before first pitch.

Four hours before the fans and first pitch are thrown, Mix and his teammates go out to center field to start stretching. The players who will have action on the field will be where is at while the non-starters are in the training facility working on their swings or getting ready to throw. (Establishing)

After stretching, Mix and the other infielders went to grab their gloves and start throwing to warm up their arms. As an infielder it is crucial to avoid an injury, Mix just recovered from a concession during the Berea game April 12-13, 2024.

Now that the starters are getting to warm up, most of them grab their bats to get ready to do some batting practice. While Mix was grabbing his bat in the training facility, Huntington College Hawks arrives to see Piedmont hit.

Mix grabs his favorite bat and batting gloves and gets prepared to hit. Even though Nathan Mix is last to hit on starting lineup, he doesn’t disappoint during any game. (Close-up)

As Mix waits for his turn to hit, he takes a couple of swings outside of the batting cage. On his left arm with the two sweat bands, Mix has an NIL deal with company name Hallowed. Hallowed is baseball equipment company.

After batting practice, Mix and a couple starters go back in the infield to finish up with some drills. Mix is laughing because he doesn’t know where he put his glove at. (Portrait)

The Piedmont baseball players went back to the training facility to put on their uniforms for their game series against Huntington College. The Hawks took the field to start warmups. This was game two of the series, Piedmont took game one 4-0

This is an important CCS game for the Piedmont Lions. This game series determines their rankings in the conference tournament. (Signature)

Now that Nathan Mix and the whole team is ready for the game. Sophomore Nate Courtwright does a backflip to hype up the whole team to defeat Huntington College.
