Matt is setting up his camera on the perfect tree with the hope a bunch of deer pass by. This is called a scrape. It is a type of sign that Bucks leave on the ground to communicate and mark territory. Matt now knows he is in the perfect location.Matt sets out corn in front of the camera to feed the deer so they get used to coming and feeding at that locationHe makes sure the corn is positioned directly in front of the camera so when the deer show up, he gets the perfect picture Matt checks his camera app to see what and how many deer have passed by, so he will know his target deer for his future hunts. The landscape around the camera and the corn is important. He set up his stuff next to the river where the deer can come and get a drink. With all the work that is involved during the hunting process, it makes the end result so much better. Matt gets his first deer which he says was “So rewarding.”
