Vanessa Manzo presents her symposium research project about cognitive communication in dolphins. Manzo was inspired to research how dolphins communicate due to her love for the sea animal.

Piedmont students wrap up presenting their symposium poster projects in a gallery format at noon on Thursday, April 11. Students spend months researching and crafting their projects in preparation for the campus-wide event recognizing students for their hard work. All students, no matter what major or concentration they may be in, are encouraged to present their findings at symposium for capstone, extra credit and course assignments.

Haylee Dornan explains her findings on “The Effect of the Gifted Label on Educational Success in High School” to a pair of Piedmont University professors. Dornan’s study surveyed people ages 19 to 44 from over six states, representing how the gifted program differs across the United States but results remain the same.
