Life After Piedmont: A Day in the Life of Alumni Nathan Mix
Nathan Mix walks into Parker’s Kitchen in Murrells Inlet, S.C. The Piedmont University alumni starts most days with a quick energy drink stop before beginning work.Mix reaches for his favorite energy drink, Reign, which he says helps him wake up and stay focused during his morning work hours.Mix works from home for SAUER, a company that designs piping systems for commercial buildings. He starts his mornings at his desk before heading to the gym.Mix bench presses during his afternoon lift at the gym. He trains most days of the week and says working out has become a major part of his post-college lifestyle.After his lift, Mix eats at a local Mexican restaurant to increase his calorie intake. He is currently working to bulk up and says meals like this help him reach his daily calorie goals.Mix films content for a brand deal on the beach. He began creating fitness and basball content during college and continues to grow his personal brand as an alumni.Mix edits his videos for social media on his phone. Much of his content work happens on the go and is done between workouts, meals and working for SAUER.As the day winds down, Mix takes a walk along the shoreline in Murrells Inlet. He says post-college life has given him more space to enjoy quiet moments at the end of the day.
