Samantha Carvallo

Hey everybody! My name is Samantha and I am a Junior Graphic Design Major and Mass Communications Minor here at Piedmont University.
My Mom (right) and Dad (left) met at Ohio State University while they were getting their Master’s Degrees. They ended up moving to Talca, Chile and got married in 1992.
I am the middle child in my family. My sister (bottom left) is 23 years old, I (bottom right) am 21 years old, and my brother (center) is 17 years old. My sister and I were born in Chile, but my brother was born in Virginia.
I graduated from Mountain View High School in 2019.
While in High School, I ran Track and Cross Country. I was actually good enough to win medals here and there!
I came to Piedmont mainly focused on running as well, however, times have changed and I have realized there are more important things in my future I need to work about.
I am now a part of The Roar and am the Magazine Design Editor alongside Rowan Edmonds (left). Here you can see us drained from staring at our laptops all night.

I am in a relationship with Garrett Stafford and we have been together for the last 2 years. We love to travel and one of our favorite trips we took was to New Orleans for our anniversary.
