I never really thought about how long I looked at photos while reading until now. Unless the image is very captivating or is of someone I like, I don’t give it much thought. I really appreciated the first section. Kobré talks about sending photographers to shoot things more relatable than just a press conference. By doing so, you are helping your readers be more drawn to the story they are reading. Another crazy things is this chapter is when Kobré states “Many of the best-known photo editors never learned to use a camera”. This amazed me because I assumed that most editors would know the ins and outs of cameras. I also enjoyed “Crop The Excess”, when it comes to cropping photos, I’m never too sure how much I should crop and how much Kobré talks about cropping was very helpful.
