After walking, I tried focusing on the abandoned buildings beside Swanson Center—many of which I have seen but have yet to pay attention to as they rotted away. But when I walked back to Swanson, I noticed the parking lot’s curb. There was bright-colored mold growing on the concrete. Then it struck me; for the past four years, I have walked by this same curb and never noticed the bright yellows and greens that cover it. And with the overcast sky, yellow seemed to jump out at me, so I took a picture and realized that this was the point of the assignment.
